Engineers' questions
Can you size equipment for an existing design?
Yes. We verify the design duty points and propose items from the manufacturers we work with, including a purchasing specification.
What input data do you need to size a pump group?
Flow rate, required head, fluid properties, operating mode and the network diagram. If some data is missing, we measure it on site.
Do you account for variable frequency control at the design stage?
Yes. We compare operation with and without a VFD and show the energy difference for your duty profile.
What do I receive as the deliverable?
Working documentation: diagrams, an itemised equipment specification and the calculation — ready for purchasing and installation.
Do you visit the site before designing?
Yes, for existing facilities: we record actual network parameters, equipment condition and installation constraints.
